1. (Learning)  Student learning is the chief priority for the school.				     
2. (Decision Making)  Teachers, administrators, parents and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission.
3. (Instruction)  Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
4. (Policy)  The Marshall County Teacher Handbook, the CHES Faculty Handbook, and the CHES Student Handbook are used as a guide to promote a safe and physically comfortable environment which is conducive to student learning.
5. (Instruction)  Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
6.(Assessment)  Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
7. (Assessment)  The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners. 		
8. (Learning)  A student’s self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.

Order forms have been sent home with students. The cost is $25.00, but Rex’s Valuable Customer Yearbook Stamp Cards can also be used. See the order form for details. Yearbooks will be on sale until Friday, February 10.

Bring in you Boxtops for Education through February 16. Prizes will be rewarded for the child who collects the most in K-2 and 3-5. The class who collects the most in K-2 and 3-5 will win a prize.
